All I know is that he felt strongly enough about his ideas to help riverside that he took the rejection in stride. He did not tell anyone in the Chamber about his decision to run untill the day before he oficially announced his candicy. Thus I do not think there were any extranious reasons for the caucus rejecting him. They said that they will look at it with fresh eyes and will not necessarily be wedded to the ways at looking at costs that have prevailed during the last decade. He is free do that. </p> <p>The problem I have and I believe most people would have is promising him a board seat in exchange for withdrawing. That is clearly wrong.</p> <p>Mr. Gallegos is doing an admirable thing running for trustee. He was put in a very difficult position by the head of the RCA. Gorman should be ashamed.</p> <p>How one could vote for Gorman after this episode has been made public is beyond me. </p>
