I enjoyed this today. I think it is good for the Village to have a contest like this. I thought the lady lawyer would have learned from her trial experience that you don't ask questions unless you know the answer. I thought Kevin was much better this time - more measured. I really wish he was staying as Trustee and another Trustee was running and would be eliminated. And I wish I had seen some of those who are running now at all those interminable Board and Commission meetings that I bothered to attend. The sad fact is that only a couple hundred residents have bothered to come out and get involved - and even fewer have signed their names to what they say.

Yes, I too wish Smith was staying as a trustee in lieu of, well, no point to picking one!

Yes, I wish I had seen some of those who are running now at Riverside Foods.

Yes, it is great that we have a real debate in this town. There has been more headcount at the two events and the Town Hall the RCA gave than have cast votes in most local elections.

It is great to see signs up in this town as I saw them the other day in Maywood, Brookfield and Hinsdale. That's what I call joining the 21st century and not living in a museum of the past.

After hearing the assertion and denial concerning whether or not some of the RP candidates had even bothered to vote recently in our local elections it is clear that somebody has to be right and somebody wrong. Either that is not Ms. Navarro's voting record - mistakes can and do happen - or she has spoken falsely to the public in stating to the public that she did vote in our recent local elections. I think that some non-partisan party like the Landmark/ Bob Uphues should perform due diligence, check the voter records and clear up this matter.

If I had had an opportunity to query the candidates I would have asked them to tell me why they did or did not attend Board meetings over the past years. Does anyone know how you get to suggest a question for the coming Riverside GOP forum? I have several I would like to submit.

No, once again, straw man. What was denied was not what was asserted. It was said she did not vote in local elections such as the one we are having now. Of course there are local issues on national balloting days, and there is no way to know whether or how people voted there. Everyone comes out for those.
