The Village should REDO the B2 Zoning code so as to make sure that any building proposed be in harmony and appropriate in scale for its lot AND its surroundings. If necessary it should remove the ability t of the Board or it's President to grant variances that exceed the code unless certain criteria are met, as, for example, mandating that requested variances for size, site encroachment or height shall require that storey poles be placed to show the exact size and placement of the structure and remain in place for sixty days to allow for public feedback. The parking "buyout" should be eliminated entirely, and about five other things. We should enforce density, remove all the greenspace - park or not -from the list of available sites, and a lot more. We should have gotten a code that protects the many from the greed of a few for all the money we paid - however much that is since they still refuse to make public the total costs.

And we should have a design review that works.

I will ask the question that I asked of the D208 candidates:

What are the D 96 trustee candidates' positions on the tif?
