There has been discussion on the site elsewhere about birthers and why President Obama will not produce his birth certificate.
I thought it was a done deal already; that it was released?

Maybe the Forum should have a public service spot or a "Truth Squad" and do an emailing to the prejudicially afflicted like Gingrich, Bachmann, Trump and all the rest. Just don't use any big words and don't forget the followers in this ZIP .

What is obvious is that this birther junk, even after it has been discredited, is prelude to the 2012 presidential race. The republican/right want to get the words bho and 'radical' together in people's mind. They know that Obama is the front runner (the incumbent always enjoys a head start, and the economy, while still south, seems to have slowed in it southward slide, eg). It does not matter that the birther thing is a non issue.
Obama a radical? hah! He's the guy who continues to support and encourage companies using foreign labor - in the Information sector, for example - over supporting middle class America. Radical? He's the guy who allowed the Bush era tax breaks to the richest few in America, to the tune of a trillion dollars when the country is about to shut down due to a lack of funds.
He's a 'radical' in mind , not in deed. But the Rovians, like Goebbels, know that what matters is what people THINK, not what is TRUE.
"I have 60 pages of footnotes and 200 names in my briefcase to proves this". Just ask, and keep the conversation about nothing going whilst America burns and China and India queitly take over the planet.

I believe Obama was born in the Hawaii, but I think the Long Form birth Certificate is likely lost.
Here is the governor - Democrat - weighing in on this story.
He told Honolulu's Star-Advertiser: 'It actually exists in the archives, written down,' he said.
