The baby Polar Bear, a male, made his debut today at Brookfield Zoo. Now there's a star in the making. If you look at Youtube.com and type in KNUT you will see the one at the Berlin Zoo that is drawing in 15,000 visitors a day. I emailed the zoo and suggested they get this one up on the net and maybe they will draw so many visitors it will be the answer to the TIF just in our cut of the sales tax on admissions and stuffed bears. Check ot some of the vids of Knut. One I saw yesterday had 159,000 hits in just a few days! Star quality, and we have one too.

I just saw on the news that Knut had a death threat on Thursday! I guess we are not home to all of the nuts in the world. Knut's security was beefed up, and all is well.
Just a joke probably.But it made me wonder why OUR little polar bear is NOT getting any press! Polar bears are rarely born in captivity, so catch him now.
