Board Meeting Packet

I was looking through the Board meeting packet and came across the application for the steak fry. I had to laugh (and I know it's not really funny, and I think the CofC does a great job with this event, so I hope I don't offend Eric Sundstrom here) when I saw that they needed to install a fence, because last year the residents of the apartment building on East came out and helped themselves to beer.

Maybe there's a correlation between the state of the economy and the amount of beer stolen from civic functions...

Just a question, I noticed on the board packet agenda that President Gorman still has the Police deliver his packet, when all the other trustees get theirs via e-mail.

Seems like the police might have better things to do.

The cops have always delivered those packets to all the Board members and the Pres. in the past. For years and years... you are really struggling for an issue. Introduce yourself at the Board meeting if you show...

President Gorman still has the Police deliver his packet, when all the other trustees get theirs via e-mail.

commonsense - or should I call you Kelly? - this is a flat-out lie.

Mike Gorman abolished the policy of having all trustee packets delivered by the police once we were sworn in - including his. Board packets are left for all of the trustees and the president at the 911 center, ending a long-standing policy of having police deliver all of the packets to trustees.

I do hope that if you - or anyone else here - have other issues that you would like addressed by the Village Board, you'll be kind enough to come to one of our meetings and speak either during the public comment section or during the time that a particular agenda item is discussed. It's certainly more productive than bashing people under an assumed cloak of internet anonymity.

I'll look forward to seeing you there.

Well, hello BDS, MDS, aka Trustee Shevitz. The agenda indicates that the packet was delivered to President Gorman. I’m glad to know that the President is not wasting valuable resources. Glad you are listening.

Does that mean that Ms. Rush and all the other Trustees WERE squandering valuable Village resources when the had those packets delivered for years and years? And you want to thank our new Presidnt for doing that? Is that what you are getting at, "commonsense."

Commonsense, I see you are a reader of the Landmark online. BDS is my husband, not Mark Shevitz. We do not post there anymore because we do not read it anymore.

Are you Kelly? There I thought you were the delightful Maria!

Delivered by the police chief?! And I thought I was a Luddite!

Would you value my comments more or less if I was Kelly? If I were Maria? What if I were a member of Olmsted? What if I were actually several people logging in under one moniker? I write under commonsense because, in my opinion, that is what this Village needs more of. In my humble opinion political rhetoric is the enemy. Draw your own conclusions about who I am, why I write at all. Read into my comments whatever you want, or dismiss them if you want. Better yet, if you don't like them, don't read them. My credibility or lack therof comes from the quality of my comments, not from who I am.

Well you were wrong about the deliveries - but kept insisting - so there goes your credibility.
