I just passed by the township hall. Did the meeting really go until 11PM? God bless those citizens who volunteer their time to be that involved in local government.

Meeting ended at 12:13. There were 3-4 people left in the audience at that time.

I am appalled by the comment by M Shevitz (at least twice) that the pay spots are 'being used, mostly, by people from outside Riverside'. So when we need those for 'us' we can just kick 'them' out?

And J Reynolds 'knows what it's like to be a small businessman and deal with these problems'....so when are you moving your business (with adjacent parking) from LaGrange and coming home to enjoy our cozy village?

Sadly this failure to accept and promote the new lot has left a impression of the RCA on me. These guys really think they are helping us by not building a lot. Even though all of the businesses in town want it, no sorry begged for it. The RCA are now parking experts, able to conduct any kind of study on parking, conduct interviews for new village managers and disrespect village employees in front of TV viewers. Boy no parking lot. I guess the weeds will grow even higher and those empty lots will look even more inviting as a welcome sign to our great CBD. Oh thats right the RCA wants to sell them they stated as a possibility last night. Great timing to sell 2 vacant lots in town now that the market says the 2 lots combined are worth half of what you paid. This kind of backward thinking must end. We as a town must now take up the challenge of getting our Village on the right track for I fear the RCA is about to take us into the ditch.

Unfortunately, we are stuck with this situation for 4 years....no, actually it can get worse - they will be filling all the commissions with their own people next year as terms roll.

And who will want to run for the Board in the next election and put up with being p'd on every month?
