Plan on coming to the COW as the Trustees vote for the approval of the CBD planters plan as proposed by the LAC.

Finally, a downtown that is as beautiful as the rest! For more information, check out this website's home page. You can see the renderings there!

Mike - the COW is for the Board members to discuss among themselves, in public, the issues listed on the COW agenda. There are no votes taken.

The Landscape plans are posted on the Village website. The large Boards will be on display in the library after this meeting. The decision (vote) will occur at the Regular Meeting that follows the COW. Take a look at that Agenda, which is also on the Village website, following the COW.

Many people attended the meeting last night.
    And, the plan passed.
A great opportunity for the entire village.
I for one am very excited.

I think it was shortsighted to confine this effort to just the planters along Longcommon (and not even all of those.) Hopefully the First American Bank will chime in and put up the $$$ to finish the two planters at the corners in front of the Driver Block so the new plantings will be contiguous all the way to the Town Hall. Same for Burlington down to the Church parking lot - both sides of the street. If the estimate for the plants, prep work and planting for the 14 planters being done now is down to $7,500-8,000, . then the balance should be able to be done for a total close to $10K and that side of town would be largely finished. I hope that the businesses along that stretch will realize the value in doing this and chip in to get their planters included or done shortly thereafter.

I asked Dan at First American to call Ms. Rush and find out how the Bank could be involved with updating those last two planters between the Town Hall and Grumpy's, thus completing that side of Longcommon. Both of them have trees, and are probably root bound, so it wouldn't take a lot of plants to go in to improve them. They are highly visible and I believe they should have been included in the plan. It's never too late...the LAC should pitch them and get it domne at the same time as the other planters.

I overheard a conversation around 9AM today that indicated that First American was planting those planters. So, maybe he took your advice and is doing just that. If so, that will be great.

    1) I am still wondering whether the Chamber of Commerce is involved. Chamber member Eric Sundstrom is on the LAC, I believe. They have funds and they will be one of the beneficiaries of the plan.

    2) Is any volunteer work being requested to implement or maintain this plan?

This was great work by all who had the patience of Job to see it through or to participate.
