Why does the Village waive competitive bidding for these jobs when supposedly we need every dollar? There may be a good reason, but sometimes, when the items are put in the Consent Agenda with all the other stuff like approval of minutes, etc., we usually never get an explanation. FYI - See below just from tonight's aegnda(s):

    C. A Resolution Accepting And Authorizing The Implementation Of The
Salary And Compensation Plan - 2007

    A. A Resolution Authorizing The Village Manager to Waive Competitive Bidding
And Accept A Proposal For the Refinishing Of The Floor(s) At Fire Station Two
Floor At A Cost Not To Exceed $25,010.00.

    2. A Resolution Waiving Competitive Bid And Authorizing The Village
Manager To Execute A Contract With Trademark Electric For Electrical
Service Installation At The Southwest Well House At A Cost Not To
    Exceed $16,200.
