    RBHS board candidate forum slated for March 15

    All seven candidates running for the four open spots on the Riverside-Brookfield High School District 208 Board of Education will be on hand to answer questions at a forum set for Tuesday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of S.E. Gross Middle School, 3524 Maple Ave. in Brookfield.

    The forum is being sponsored by the S.E. Gross School PTO and will be moderated by LaGrange Park Village President Jim Discipio.

    I wonder if this will be recorded in case someone cannot make it?

    I hope people ask about what their position are on the RB referendum and the next teacher's contract. In the latter, what will be their touchstones that they would want to make sure are hit ?

    Would they rubber stamp what the union people say? Would they try to make sure there are pay for performance criteria for pay increase vs mere time/seniority?

    Anyone go to the forum noted above? How was it?

    Just found this in the Landmark. This is the first info I have read on the District 208 candidates. I notice that Mr Powers has hard experience in negotiating with the local feeder district teacher unions based on merit and CPI. SOunds good to me.
