FOUR TO ONE AGAINST THE TIF! Not one sitting Board member drew as many votes as were cast against the TIF. The Board of Trustees must begin to pay attention to the residents and halt their attempt to inflict their plans on the Village of Riverside. Now we see who really represents the people. I call on the Trustees to stop taking orders from the Village Manager and heed the call of the electorate. The people of Riverside have said, loud and clear, they don't want your TIF and they don't want you to spend another dollar on consultants that are just making a buck off the Village taxpayers. Stop badmouthing those who oppose your initiatives to kowtow to hit and run development. Take heed - the residents have weighed the facts and found you wanting. The message is unmistakeable - NO TIF. Don't compound your errors and disrespect the will of the people.
