From Monday's Board Agenda:
6. A Resolution waiving competitive bidding and authorizing the Village Manager to
execute an agreement with Bradford Systems Corporation to install a space saver high
density mobile storage system for an amount not to exceed $55,767.05
Why are we buying this now, and why no competitive bids?
The reason I ask is because the trustees were saying that the Food establishment tax brought in "only" about $30K a year - mostly from the Zoo - so they could drop it. That statement is incorrect. It brings in more than half a storage system. If we are so short of money, why don't we keep using what we have, bid things competitively, and keep taxes that come mostly from non-residents?
