    Mike,

I guess my point is that characterizing Joe Pilewski (if that is who made the presentation) only as 'the Village TIF Expert" is misleading.

Who spoke on the other side of the issue?

Although Mr. Pilewski stated he did not know what side he was on, he, Katy Rush, and Candi Grace presented for the village. Chandra Reynolds and Joanne Keefe presented for CCR.

Corbi, in the future, if I am to mention someone I will be certain to include CV's as well as personal family histories, date of birth, etc.

Oh, and I have heard that Joe is a heck of a great guy, too!

Joanne Keefe is an example of the finest citizens Riverside has to offer. She is quiet, soft spoken, yet effective in conveying her love for the village while standing up to bullying tactics employed by some village officials. I admire her greatly and am proud to call her a friend.

There was one other interesting question asked at the Juniors meeting.
One of the girls asked Katy Rush what kind of retail she/the village imagined a TIF would attract. She asked her to name one.
After a few moments Katy said 'Barbara's Bookstore.' Then she retracted that statement and said that Barbara's Bookstore is too big for Riverside and they would not come. She did not name another retailer, or retail concept.

Also, the village distributed a spreadsheet.

I found it telling that $4,500,000 is estimated for parking in year 2, with $800,000 in land acquisition, over $3 Mil for construction. You know that can only mean a parking garage. 2 years from now. Wow. Do we need a garage? Is it still on top of that poor families house?

If Barbara's Bookstore is not anticipated as it is too big for us, what the heck businesses are we attracting that needs a parking garage?

    National Historic Parking Lot

It's not a lot, but it's our lot in life.+

Is it the A-1 priority action item in the TOD and the biggest expenditure in the chart.

As Babe asked in Babe, Pig in the City when she was being chased by the Pit Bull........Why?
