I will repeat what I have said in another thread and add a question or two.
I think what the Village is doing w/ this pause in the tif process and these workshops is great. I do think that they are pausing to try to get the best strategy for the Village - not ramming down us. It shows the 'good Riverside' revealing itself.
.
.
Questions on the workshops:
1) What tangible output is the goal of the workshops? A document? A set of documents, one per session?
2) What are the next steps and timeframes planned after these workshops are done? I have read somewhere that Katy Rush said that this planning process could be 6 to 12 months, I think. Or will it end before the McKenna numbers 'spoil' in June?
Is the answer to this question, It depends on the outcome of the workshops?
3) What are the standards that we are going use to decide what to do next?
a)Nobody shows up at the workshops
-------> proceed with the TIF initiative as already set in motion?
b)Lots of people show up and they universally say back to the drawing board
-------> does the village do this?
4) How will the proceedings be recorded?
---by a secretary doing a transciption?
---video tape?
---local cable?
