Since there is a regular meeting, public comments will be made. People can sign up using the online form or, Katie Rush said, at the meeting. The new rules may be that speaking occurs first, I don't know. KRush was supposed to post these rules to the village website.

Mr. Spatny,
The website guidelines have been posted under the Village Board tab on the left hand side. One click on "Village Board" brings up the Boards names, term dates, commission application and meeting guidelines.A click on village board, then meeting minutes brings you to a page that shows 2007 minutes only. The next drop down box is for the archived minutes only.

As you know, we have been without a dedicated person to update the web page for several months. We are making every effort to respond to information needs. In addition, the form to preregister for board meetings is available at the Town Hall on the circular kiosk. We have also issued eflashs on "how to" participate in Village Board meetings. I encourage you to register with the Village so that you may receive these information bulletins.

Ms. Rush: Thank you for the info. Perhaps the categories go off line for awhile when they are being updated or something like that. When you get someone to work on the site could we possibly have some picture aht is more evocative of Riverside than the four that are there - I mean, more Olmstedian. You know - a parkland vista instead of The Chainsaw Massacre. I don't think a squad car and a fireman are the best symbols for us. Thank you.

I still don't see whether we speak before the double-stack COW and Regular meeting or after. Does anyone remember? I thought we were supposed to speak first.
When the full-time staff updates the website, the meeting minutes must be posted within 7 days of approval, per the OMA. It does not require that a person be dedicated to the task for this requirement to take effect. (Just thought I would clarify that.)

Three Board Meetings: A totally contrived scenario. First a "Special Meeting" that lists nothing - and goes to closed Exec. session. Than the COW where more money for KMA will be discussed - no public input. Then the irregular Regular Meeting where you get to speak before the items come up - and guess what - There is Kane McKenna item there to be voted on. You see folks, they are going to give MORE OF YOUR TAXPAYER DOLLARS to the consultants and pursue the TIF, without heed to the election results. This is where we need to have people let them know they will not get away with this and we don't want more money wasted.

The Regular Meeting begins at 7:30 with public comments. I deduce that we go first from the inclusion of my name on the agenda. I am sure I am not the only one who did or will sign up to speak.
The Special Meeting and COW will start at 6:30.

Mike - go to the library. Ask the reference librarian for the meeting packet - or find it in the case below where the yearboos are kept - near the door, That is supposed to contain a copy of all thematerials that the Trustees have for this meeting, as prepared by the Village Manager, If the basis docs aren't there than they are in violation of the Open Meetings Act. If they have discussed this - the same. These guys should be sued jointly and severally - let Feathers explain to them how that works. They lose and they will be individually responsible. It's been domne before, and there are lawyers that specialize in doing it. I will have a witness at this next meeting from the AG's office. These people represent no one but themselves, and they should be held individually responsible for the taxpayer dollars they spend from here on out.
