It is interesting that 80% of respondents favor village government aid to improve the CBD, 66% favor same to increase parking, and that a whopping 70% see food as the most important or very important thing they want available in the CBD. This includes groceries, take-out and restaurant. Only 2% thought tourism was most important, 3% very important.
The rate of response was 65%, so this is a self-selecting example. According to Trustee Smith's formula of 100% turnout required for an accurate reflection of sentiment, this makes the results suspect. However, I will take the study as reflective of something very important.
The majority of respondents were women. The majority wanted fundraising, not public funds, to build a community center.
