This was the message that Mr. Reynolds left us with at the end of his speech at today's workshop. Certainly sounds great but it completely fails to address the financial realities facing our Village. Unless of course there is another alternative we are not considering. Perhaps someone who has expertise in this area can tell me if a money tree was included in the list of native species that would be appropriate for this area. If so, I would propose that we re-introduce that species and engage in an aggresive planting program. Problems solved!

We await your explanation of how and when and how much of the TIF money is going to go to current operating expenses and infrastructure for the village as it exists today. It is you who pretends to have expertise in this area.
You just cannot open your mouth in response to anything without insulting the person who said it, can you? This is why you have proved such a poor advocate for the TIF.

This thing won't accomplish much if they are going to guarantee the schools be made whole, fix the $1.5 mil in mandated safety mods the schools have to do, and pay for a legal "A" team to duke it out with our leading landlord. With what's left we can go to White Castle for the "surf and turf." Crbi's pizza and vino will require a kind-hearted developer to chip in - and no dessert.

I like that Kim. Does Home Depot carry those trees? I have a big college bill staring me in the face a few years from now and I'd like to plant a few of those trees.

I am sure Home Depot does. If not, you can go to Target, K-Mart, Walmart, or Menards.
Thank goodness they are close, especially since big box stores have cornered the market on money trees, as well as everything else, and completely changing the way people shop today.Posted Saturday Feb 24, 2007 15:13 # -
corbi, of course Home Depot does not carry them. They are special order only:

TIF is a tool, but more precisely a magic wand with fairy dust.
POOF! Free Money!
