We, the taxpayers, know what the real problem is. The question is will the administration, especially the School Board, be willing to address it. The problem is the salary structure and pension plan. When salaries and benefits are approximately 79% of the budget, reducing spending on paper, natural gas and the other items mentioned is not enough to make up the budget shortfall. If the administration thinks a tax referendum is going to pass, they are living in a dream world. We, the taxpayers, will not and cannot, continue to fund salaries and pensions that are unsustainable. Enough is enough.
