REcvd a auto phone msg tonight from T Peraica stating that he is going to talk about the county budget on Tues' Village board meeting. Presumably there might be some discussion on how Riverside might be impacted ?

I got that message too. I was wondering who paid for it before I hung up.

Good question, who paid for it. How do you get all of these phone numbers and have them robo-called? Not with county money.
Can't he just write a letter to the editor?

So, did anyone endure this who can report on it?

I never miss Tony. In essence, he said the Little Four are continuing the fight to hold down County spending, the County is not as bad off as State or local govs, and everyone should appeal your property tax bill. He is calling for a quick reassessment of all property because of the dramatic fall in values. The govs won't like that, but it is looming out there.
I tried to get him to announce his candidacy for Burris's seat on his home turf but he wouldn't go that far yet. I told him if he could help us swing the Arcade project we might get him on either the "Green" or the "Blue Sky" ticket. Tony's always up for a good race...

Thanks.
I did appeal my property tax bill. One of the trustees said their levy is their levy, and they are going to get it from these homes, if not yours, someone else's. I am sure they were not pleased to hear the suggestion about a quick reassessment, as that would take monopoly money out of the coffers. But he is right, even Daley had to say the same.
If the State of Illinois charged a 10% sales tax, they likely wouldn't be bad off either. Yes, I always vote for Peraica. Put a fox in the hen house.
