It makes for tough start for our new principle and a formidable financial correction for the D208 board to achieve.

It appears we are going to ask them to stop a freight train with their feet(the contract with the teachers has years remaining, we've already spent the money on the construction, there are bonds to pay, and we split the combo Super/Prin position into 2 FTEs). On top of that, they need everyone to like the results.

While holding our expectations high, we need to do our best to maintain candor, civility and support through the battle we are about to attempt to endure~

the report is that the jobs report that is about to come out either tomorrow or friday will show that the number of UNREPORTED jobs lost in the recession (which is over?) will be 800,000.

What is the total percentage of tax liability for the 2 public schools in the district? i think that both 208 and 96 have to get out shears, not scissors. this district is not immune from unemployment and underemployment. something must be done to provide a little help to us peons.
