mrt says: "The board has also made it clear that it wants any ideas from citizens..."

President Gorman voiced an audible "Jesus Christ" after an individual made a point at the last meeting. Sacchi rolled his eyes through out the entire discussion about Parks and Rec (and he did it better than a 14 year old girl who does not approve of what her mother is wearing. Perhaps, he can train teenage girls the art of eye rolling!) and Shevitz is caught on tape with his middle finger up. Clearly, they only want input/comments if it benefits their positions.

MRT, Since you are not sure of what a top down audit is, it would result in tax dollar savings. Which is what the RCA promised. The RCA has failed to show one dollar of savings. They promised to cut the runaway spending, cut the waste, and lower taxes. They have failed. They promised to go line by line, and failed to do that. What is it with the the RCA and failure? RCA and failure are pretty much synonomous.

The Parking lot was structured to be paid for thru bonds and motor fuel taxes plus grants from Metra. It would have cost ZERO dollars from Riverside residents taxes. The Chamber of Commerce STILL wants that location for parking. The RCA made a big deal about the cost to Riverside but it was ALL SPIN. The vast majority of the Chamber is VERY UNHAPPY about the back tracking on the use of that location. Finally, I find it ironic that currently, that location is being used as a construction parking lot.

Stephaniem - When you do little to nothing, the only thing left to do is to latch on to the hard work of others. The audacity was that you then had civil servants use taxpayer dollars to give themselves Presidential proclamations. Does anyone remember the last time a sitting Board member or President ever received a Presidential proclamation for doing their job?
