Thanks, Mike, for the clarification. Do you know if we are still going to re-surface Delaplaine, but w/o the reimbursement?

Last night, Trustee Scanlon repeatedly mentioned that Kane McKenna should be paid in full for the money that was owed, if the work had been done satisfactorily.
I suspected that Mr. McKenna was being paid to attend the workshops (4 in all.) But he clearly did not, was not, able to sell the vast majority on his TIF proposal.
Was his work satisfactory, or at best mediocre?
Perhaps if he had been a little less defensive and cranky, or been able to provide concrete numbers, the village would be on the path to TIF this very moment.

I wonder if that is why Burlington has so few stop signs? Well, good news for the folks on Delaplane.
I don't think Kane McKennas presentations were very good at all; but I still get the impression we are on the path of the TIF.

What about asking for our money back, since the path they have led us down has divided the Village, done nothing to improve the quality of life, and opens the door to lots more expenses of a legal nature. When they were pitching the TOD study they flipped over and suddenly became the guys that could make it all happen - for just $30,000 up front. Then the add ons started to appear. Now, if we have gotten this far for $80K, why would changing the boundaries cost another $100K. And then how do they build them elves into the deal as operators, or overseers, or whatever. This looks like it never ends, and every time Ms. Rush picks up the phone and makes another call, well there's a charge for that, and for "due diligence", and for "research", etc. Imagine, once you get this stuff in your computers you can just change the name and sell it again, and again, and again... We should have paid nothing more last night and asked for an audit up to yestrday, and junked the whole thing. If we had a zoning ordinance that worked and a building department that didn't make mistakes then we could have fairly priced and reasonable development without handing out "inducements."
