Done by the same person that did the Gaslight Realty website, Adam Manganiello:

Neither site seems to function well. RE: Gaslight - I can't understand why a merchant would decorate a Christmas tree with pictures of what it is selling. Talk about tacky and negating the "spirit" of Christmas. Everything these days is just another gimmick and a way to sell something, I guess. I liked it better when we had one big Christmas tree and residents brought in and donated ornaments. There used to be one nice big pine there - now we have a row of cheap "ad trees." I guess that is what it has come to. In the old days we plowed a space on the river and had open free skating when it was frozen. We had a trash barrel on the bank with a wood fire in it and a couple benches where you could put on your skates. Frank Martin's gas station down at Deleplaine and Burlington, where I worked, would let me take the jeep down to plow a couple places south of the railroad bridge, near the Scout Cabin, even in the Swan Pond. Now we have to dragoon sponsors and insurance and all this crap to have that pathetic little rink in the Big Ball Park. For a coupleof years we had a big jump on Swan Pond Hill that you could go off of on anything you could drag up there - skis to tobagginsto the trunk lid of an old car or a cement tub - now we have sings and ropes and chains telling you where and when you can do everything. Kind of the WalMart approach, I guess. "Welcome to Swan Pond Hill." Smaller minds, not better fun.

Jeez, Don. We're all going to hell in a handbasket, aren't we?
I enjoy your reminisces of what Riverside was like in the fifties as much as anyone, but you're getting dangerously close to that fine line between engaging elder and embittered geezer. Step back from the edge--maybe take a look at the joy on little kids faces as they slide down Swan Pond or skate at the big ball park rink for the first time. The venues might not be as you remember, but the emotions are the same.

Brawl at Town Hall!
Not really about Caucus, except Smith is their candidate for Village President.
