No speaking at 4/23, of course. It is a "workshop."

I think we should explore the idea of a Village wide demonstration pre-5/7 to let the Trustees know unequivacly that the will of the voters must be heeded, and NO TIF is what they demand. Take 30 people, each of them is responsible for getting ten more with a car, and you can bring 300 cars with as many voters as they can carry through town in a caravan. Make them understand that we all care about the future of the Village but don't want this TIF. I propose Sunday, May 6th at noon as the start point - one hour all around town past all their houses, horns blowing. Think about it.
Hm. This makes me think of the present war. Most people are polled as being against it, but few will participate in demonstrations. Hence the silent majority. Question of style. I personally would despise anyone who came honking by my house on a Sunday, and curse their cause as well.
Are we still allowed to speak at COW meetings, which this one is? I can't keep up with all the new rules designed to obstruct speaking, such as signing up by 10am the morning of the meeting, etc.
What is the difference between the COW and a Board Meeting? Can we request a matter be put on the agenda?
FYI, the May 7 meeting will be both a COW and a Regular Board meeting, so you can register to speak either in advance or at the meeting, per KRush. The village calendar that presently lists it as a COW will be corrected.
Ms Rush will also soon post all the new rules regarding commentary on the village website.
Can I bring my pet skunk?
