the following is not about local castles, but is on the subject of house and property design and ends.
saw that jack Nicholson is selling his Malibu house. I expected to see some sort of garish mansion. But, as the pictures show, you see a modest 2100 sq ft house, certainly nice and livable, but on 70 acres. In this property he saw that *space* was more important than the house. This combination yields beauty. He apparently defered his built out structure to his gorgeous surroundings.
