Having seen all of the Homes on the Olmsted Society Housewalk during preview night yesterday, I have to say that the quality of these homes represents nothing less than the spectacular fulfillment of the promise of modern architecture: strong connection between inside and outside, abundance of natural light and views of nature, generous and flowing spaces, and authentic materials.
Interesting also how many of the homes have a modesty in exterior appearance that is both understated and makes them good neighbors in the community while veiling the spectacular beauty within.
If you have no plans today, go see it, I'll eat my hat (made of chocolate) if you are disappointed.
Tickets are for sale at Village Hall.
