To go with our bayou we now have a nice snake family living there - saw two adults about 30" long - their home is in a niche in the river wall and the high water drives them out. They can move pretty quickly on the ground or in the water and seem to enjoy the shallows and the grass - I'm not sure what they eat. And a nice raccoon family with three small ones - quite a handfull for the mama. The beaver were washed out and have gone up above the damn near Coonley Bay and are busy constructing a new lodge. Saw a fawn the other day - smaller than my dog and glued to her mother. And a redhawk.
