A good idea. On Chicago Tonight they were talking about a program to help neighborhood small businesses. The idea is every family should select three small independently owned businesses in their community and try to spend $50 a week in each one - or $50 a month. Sounds like a good idea - I've got my three picked out although I probably already do more than that with them. I can probably add Riverside Garage to the list as I just bought a '64 Avanti. Watch for it at a repair facility near you. Even though it's fiberglass Metal Mites will get a crack at it too. Vrrrroooooom! Seriously, this would be a smart way to really help our businesses - not just with talk - but with good old green moolah. Let's do it.

If just a small portion of the money that is going to Tony's, Jewel, etc. was to go to Riverside Foods it would help them and the Village, and enable them to broaden the variety of things they carry. I think it is a good idea that our EDC should get behind - there is no downside.

A good idea. We do this just in Riverside Foods. The Riverside Garage is fantastic. Excellent work and completely ethical and trustworthy.

I think the Chamber of Comerce should get behind this idea - or one like it - and perhaps come up with a flyer and get members or their progeny to deliver one to every home. A banner in Guthrie Park. I think the Chamber has some table or something at the Cruise Night so if anyone knows those peoplewhy not suggest they launch something like his here in Riverside.
