I have been thinking that I have never heard a full discussion of the TIF by and amongst the Board of Trustees. Perhaps some of you here have attended one that I missed. If not, I was thinking how strange that was, since it is our major issue and we discuss it so vigorously here. I know they must have this discussion in front of the citizenry under the Open Meetings Act, which provides that a meeting:
"requires that there be 1) a gathering 2) of a majority of a quorum 3) to discuss public business. The term "gathering" includes in-person, telephonic and electronic assemblages."
The summary of the Act includes dinner parties, etc.
It goes without saying that we cannot have the "dialogue" Mr Wiaduck referred to in his letter to the editor, as we have not yet heard their monologue. We cannot, for example, even figure out where they stand on the issue and are doing Kremlinology to figure it out.
Does anyone know when this discussion did or will take place? It would have been helpful to hear prior to the election and referenda.
